Conservation Priorities
The Downeast Coastal Conservancy is dedicated to conserving lands that significantly benefit the public by protecting the ecological, recreational and cultural resources that make Downeast Maine special.
Specifically, we are interested in conserving lands that protect:
- Biological Diversity
- Land and Water Resources
- Scenic Views & Landscapes
- Recreational Resources
- Public Access to Natural Areas (land and water resources)
- Productive Landscapes (includes farming, forestry, fishing)
- Cultural Resources (includes Passamaquoddy and historic sites)
